Jayson A. Soobitsky
Jayson Soobitsky earned his J.D. Degree from University of Baltimore School of Law in 1988. Mr. Soobitsky soon joined the Law firm of Robert A. Ades and Associates, P.A. representing union members in all types of legal matters. Mr. Soobitsky started his own law firm in 1993 handling many areas of practice. Mr. Soobitsky later joined the well known local law firm of Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, P.A. in 2001. In 2003, Mr. Soobitsky moved his practice to Howard County and founded the Law Offices of Jayson A. Soobitsky, P.A. Mr. Soobitsky believed that, in starting his own practice, he could be more effective in helping people deal with a variety of legal issues. Since then, Mr. Soobitsky has represented numerous clients in State and Federal Courts. Mr. Soobitsky primarily handles family law, personal injury, criminal defense, contract disputes, collections, and general litigation. The Law Offices of Jayson A. Soobitsky, P.A. has allowed Mr. Soobitsky to fully realize his passion for helping people at all levels of negotiation and litigation.
Mr. Soobitsky is active in a number of professional organizations including: the Maryland State Bar Association, the Howard County Bar Association, and the Family Law Section of the Howard County Bar Association. Mr. Soobitsky treats every client with respect and integrity. Mr. Soobitsky is a resident of Howard County, Maryland. Mr. Soobitsky is married and has three children and three grandchildren.
Beth L. Rogers
Beth Rogers is a renowned Family Practitioner. Ms. Rogers focuses her practice on reviewing, preparing and implementing retirement transfer orders (QDRO’s) and mediation. Each client’s case is treated with exceptional care and attention. Ms. Rogers received her J.D. Degree from University of Baltimore School of Law. After successfully completing the bar exam, Ms. Rogers joined the House of Ruth, an organization providing assistance to victims of abuse. Ms. Rogers is a certified mediator and also has been trained in Collaborative Law.
Ms. Rogers is active in a number of professional organizations including: the Maryland State Bar Association, the Howard County Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the Howard County Bar Association, Maryland Council for Dispute Resolution, and Inns of Court. Ms. Rogers is married and resides in Horry County South Carolina with her husband and two children, as well as two dogs.
Emily Skeens
Emily Skeens is primarily a Family Practitioner, but also practices in the areas of estate planning, guardianship, and adoption. Ms. Skeens is known for her attention to detail and effective communication. Ms. Skeens received her J.D. Degree from University of Baltimore School of Law.
Ms. Skeens joined the Law Offices of Jayson A. Soobitsky, P.A. as a law clerk in 2010 and upon admission to the bar became an Associate Attorney with the firm. Ms. Skeens is active in a number of professional organizations including: the Maryland State Bar Association, the Howard County Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the Howard County Bar Association, the Baltimore County Bar Association, the Maryland Association for Justice, and the Family Law Section of Maryland Association for Justice. Ms. Skeens treats every client with respect and integrity. Ms. Skeens is married and resides in Baltimore County. Ms. Skeens was raised in Baltimore County, Maryland and has many ties to the community. She is active in several theatre groups and enjoys performing in many different productions.
Jillianne Trotter
Jillianne’s practice focuses on helping individuals and families navigate separation and divorce, alimony and spousal support, child custody and support, adoption, domestic violence and protective orders, and alternative dispute resolution. Known for her compassionate and client-centered approach, Jillianne is guided by the principles of Therapeutic Jurisprudence—a perspective that considers how the law affects clients’ overall well-being. Applying that philosophy to family law, Jillianne is dedicated to helping clients and their families navigate life’s legal transitions with care, understanding, and a focus on achieving healthy, constructive outcomes—no matter what the circumstances.
Before establishing her own practice and joining our team, Jillianne practiced family law in Columbia, clerked for both the District Court for Baltimore City and the Appellate Court of Maryland, and earned recognition for her innovative community engagement in Howard County, including her time as a Children’s Instructor with the Howard County Library System.
A long-time Howard County resident, Jillianne is deeply committed to community service. She currently serves on the Board of Blossoms of Hope, represents Howard County in the Young Lawyers Division of the Maryland State Bar Association, and co-chairs the Division’s Public Interest Committee. She has also served on the Board of the Women’s Giving Circle of Howard County (2017–2021) and participated in the Disability Rights Maryland Supported Decision-Making Coalition (2020–2022).
